A new world of video

Since we left the web in around 2013, the one thing we notice on our return is just how much content creation has changed.

UGC (User Generated Content) or AI Generated Content seems to be the thing now. It was once a labourous task of articles and blog posts to dominate search positions, yet now its’ a world of videos, shorts and other great new concepts for media content. Some of it clearly has little human creation with it being AI generated, but UGC is certainly different. The early days when Facebook Business Pages kick off it really was still print publications and now it has most certainly morphed in to user generated content with video leading the way for social media.

Digital Stationery predominately led quite happily with its product range on the web for a number of years and we always innovated our email products with animations and our other products brand perfect for our customers.

In this new era, video is the new media, everything in this bright new online world is video media and video content, long gone are the static advert placements everything really has settled down in to video now, which is good to see. Our 3D animated logos we introduced in 2004 were very popular and its great the web now has moving pictures.

What we are going to be doing in 2025, a good 12 years on is using that same tech to promote our products. Video is a sentence in Latin, meaning “I see”. There is nothing really new about video.

Let us know what you think to how we will be presenting our products.

Today we filmed this Waterstones card in a test shoot to see how the pilot video would look. There’s a little to do and it’s good to see something coming off the drawing board.
